DJ ZUNI providing live dj set music during this session. More info: Engage in a group learning session featuring the free to enroll in course 'Cannabis, Pain, and the Opioid Crisis' from Oaksterdam University. This course has two parts (1) Pain Management and (2)Cannabis Benefits for Patients, plus a Mastery Exercise, aimed at equipping curious minds and industry personnel with the vocabulary and a body of resources articulating the case for medical cannabis as a solution for certain chronic pains, and reducing cravings for certain drugs such as opioids. Together we will go through as much of the course as time permits, and take time to look over the 'Extra Reading' from the course discussing the relevancies to our lived or witnessed experiences consuming cannabis. This session is great for people already working in the cannabis industry looking to expand their knowledgebase, and for people outside of the industry that are canna-interested. Welcome all.

About Oaksterdam University:

Founded in 2007, OU is the world's first Cannabis College (source: OaksterdamUniversity.com). Its course offering range from state specific to industry function/interest specific such as horticulture, commercial extraction, and general learning. In January of 2023 'American Pot Story: Oaksterdam University premeired at the Slamdance Film Festival. The film was created by Dan Katzir & Ravit Markus, and is composed of film shot over a 10 year period that includes the fight Dale Sky Jones and Founder Richard Lee endured to get cannabis legalization measures on ballots. The film has won several awards, including Mayor's Award at the Oakland International Film Festival 2023.
