The 1937 Group, is a vertically-integrated cannabis company headquartered in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago, IL. Our team has extensive experience, a long-standing passion for the plant, and deep respect for the opportunity to cultivate quality cannabis products and distribute them through licensed retail outlets.
This is personal for us.
The company’s name, The 1937 Group, is inspired by the Marihuana Act of 1937. The Act was fueled by widespread racial discrimination - leading to the weaponization of the cannabis plant against Mexican-Americans and Blacks.
WHAT WE DO
The 1937 Group is an ecosystem. We don't just sell weed or treat the cannabis plant as a commodity. We operate out of a passion for the plant, the people who grow and consume, the visual arts, music, fashion, and all things that involve CREATING excellence regionally and nationally.
